Chrome extension
Screenshot King
Screenshot King is a local-first Chrome extension for capturing webpage screenshots into a drawer queue, editing and saving them, and inserting them into editable fields across normal websites. Every capture is automatically copied to your clipboard as a pasteable image.
What Screenshot King Does
Screenshot King adds a compact side drawer to normal webpages. Use it to capture the visible page, drag over a specific area, or save a stitched full-page screenshot when the page supports that capture mode. Every capture is automatically copied to your clipboard as a pasteable image the moment it's taken — no extra click needed.
Each capture is stored in a local queue with a thumbnail, source title, source URL, timestamp, and capture mode so you can review screenshots before using them.
Edit, Save, And Save All
Edit any screenshot before you use it: highlight a region with a semi-transparent rectangle in a color you pick, draw a resizable/rotatable arrow to point something out, or add resizable/rotatable text. Every shape stays individually selectable and deletable, and Apply always adds the result as a new queue item, so the original screenshot is kept.
Save downloads one screenshot to disk as a PNG with a single click. Save all downloads every queued screenshot at once, packed into a single ZIP file.
Screenshot Queue Workflow
Hover a thumbnail to inspect a larger preview. Use Insert or Insert all for supported editors, Copy for pasteable image data, and Copy URL when you need the original page address.
Type /// in a supported editable field to open the screenshot picker and search queued screenshots by origin, URL, title, or wildcard text.
Local-First Privacy Model
Screenshots, thumbnails, source URLs, timestamps, drawer settings, and any highlight/arrow/text edits stay in Chrome using chrome.storage.local. Screenshot King has no backend server, no account system, no telemetry, no analytics, no advertising tracker, and no cloud sync.
Clipboard writes happen only after explicit user actions: clicking Copy, Copy URL, Insert, Insert all, or any of the three capture buttons (each capture also automatically copies its result to the clipboard as part of that same click). Screenshot King does not read clipboard contents. The Save and Save all downloads, and the on-image editor, run entirely on-device.
Version And About
The drawer header shows the running extension version, and a footer "About" link opens a modal with the app name, version, tagline, and links to this homepage, the privacy policy, and support.
