What Prompt Paster Does

Type // in a normal website text field, textarea, editor, or supported embedded frame to open a prompt picker. From there, you can search saved prompts and insert or copy the prompt you need without leaving the page you are working in.

The extension is intended for reusable writing, support, development, and workflow prompts that you choose to save locally in Chrome.

Prompt And Chain Workflows

Prompt Paster supports single prompts and guided chain prompts. Chain prompts are written by separating each step with a standalone --- line, then inserted one step at a time in Manual mode or advanced automatically in Auto mode when detection is safe.

Recent versions extend the // picker beyond a short list of AI sites so it can appear on ordinary editable website fields while still excluding password, disabled, and read-only controls.

Local-First Privacy Model

Saved prompts and settings stay in Chrome using chrome.storage.local. There is no backend server, no analytics, no advertising tracker, no cloud sync, and saved prompts are not sent to the extension author.

Prompt Paster does not automatically submit prompts to websites. You remain in control of when a saved prompt is inserted or copied.
